On The Road

Studied at Edinburgh Napier University and gained my Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English & Journalism.  I have continued this quest for knowledge at Stevenson College where I am learning Spanish. Through my academic years I have been influenced by Hubert Selby Jnr., Angela Davies, Angela Carter, Hunter S. Thompson, Arthur Conan Doyle, Robert Louis Stevenson and the theories of Foucault, Engels, Chomsky and Edward Said. I am currently working with Edinburgh Chiapas Solidarity Group, publishing with SchNEWS and Freedom Press, blogging at an alarming rate and have just returned from another visit to Spain where I was part of the first encampment of Indignados in Plaza Catalunya in Barcelona. After my studies I hope to continue working with the indigenous peoples of Chiapas and giving them a voice through my journalism. My future is to be in a Latin speaking country as I believe there is a fire within those people that will snuff out the capitalist bonfire that breaths heavily upon us through no other means than injustice and coercion.
